Bondo 2 bondo 1
These large 3-D hanging “Bondo Creations” from the late-20th C. are by Eric Z. from Austin, Texas.  They just flew in to C44’s
Frankly Scarlet booth. They’re made of wire, wood, paper, bondo and paint and were produced in very limited numbers.
In early 2000, the artist ceased production altogether.

   parrots
Agnes Marzonie just brought us these very rare and large polychromed Chinese roof tile parrots from the 19th C.  It was believed ceramic parrots protected a building’s inhabitants and brought positive energy to the house.  The number of parrots denoted importance – but never more than nine were allowed.

$28,000 the pair

In the newly opened Richard Meier building on Brooklyn’s Grand Army Plaza, Robert Austin Gonzalez used a sculptural 70’s Italian floor lamp with 5 brass arms that he found at Center44. Besides enhancing the gold theme he created and providing light to the center of the living room, it also works as a room divider.
