 Estate Fresh Gio Ponti Headboard
 |
This “floating” headboard comes directly from a South American estate designed (both the architecture and furnishings) by Gio Ponti in the 1950’s. It’s being offered for sale for the first time anywhere through ReChic at Center44. It features built-in sidetables plus reading lamps, magazine racks and even hidden nightlights under the bottom shelf. The unique design is split in the center, allowing it to adjust to various mattress sizes – it can even be separated to accommodate twin beds. Contact C44 for further details. (Documented provenance available.)

| Gio Ponti (1891-1979) was one of the 20th Century’s most important architects, industrial designers, furniture designers, artists, and publishers. Among his famous creations was the Superleggera chair – so light that a child could lift it with one finger – which earned him the title of “Master of Light.” He was also the founding editor of Domus, the influential achitecture and design magazine. |

Leave Your Sleep is Natalie Merchant‘s first album in 6 years. It’s a 2-disc collection of obscure 19th and 20th Century British and American poetry, anonymous works and children’s rhymes, which she has fashioned into delightful new songs.
