Awesome Architecture
This extraordinary structure will be placed on Cotonduba Island, off Rio de Janeiro, to welcome visitors arriving by air and by sea to the 2016 Olympic Games. |
The project is from Zurique, and utilizes solar energy to pump sea water to its top to create a waterfall. The movement of the water will be also be utilized to turn turbines and produce the power to work the system at night, as well as sending energy to the Olympic Village and parts of Rio while hosting the Olympic torch. |
It will also feature other amenities, including an observation deck, café, amphitheater, auditorium, shops, and even bungie jumping! |
